The celebration of Thanksgiving has many versions. It depends on the group of people who celebrates it such as their culture, origin, and family traditions.

The traditional American Thanksgiving dinner table may have turkey and mashed potatoes; Latinos tables may add some of their traditional festive dishes.

The traditional Latino cuisine may be an eye-catcher for the non-Latinos. Not every table for Thanksgiving dinner will be the same. It should be noted, however, that the Thanksgiving celebration should be focused on being thankful for all the blessings and all of the things that one should be grateful for regardless of the feast served on the dinner table.

The following are some of the following traditions practiced by Latinos during the Thanksgiving celebration:

1. Enjoying Adult Beverages

As the celebration of Thanksgiving involves spending time with their family and extended families, people happily spend it with the one they are primarily thankful for.

Different families have unique Thanksgiving Day traditions. Some may play games or sports and some may do other stuff to bond with each other and have an awesome time.

Latinos also know how to get the party going.

In most of the Latino homes, the ladies in the house may be busy in the kitchen making the best meals from the cookbooks of their ancestors and the males may be relaxing watching TV while waiting for the food to be cooked.

After enjoying the food in the table, everyone will be enjoying alcoholic beverages such as tequila and Coquito.

Alcohol plays a significant part in the Thanksgiving celebration of Latinos aside from the music, and food.

2. Putting other meat inside Turkey

Some traditional Turkeys served during Thanksgiving Dinners are stuffed with Steve Top. For Latino homes, it's a bit different.

In some Latinos Thanksgiving tradition, families stuff their Turkeys with other types of meat for their Thanksgiving dinner. Most of their stuffings include, but not limited to, pork and chorizo. Some also use ground beef with olives.

3. Rice

The traditional dishes served during Thanksgiving dinners were those that were available during the times of the Indians who first celebrated the event. These foods include turkey, yams, corn, cranberries, and pumpkin.

Latinos' version of those foods is rice. Rice is an important part of the table for Latinos. It can be in the form of white rice, yellow rice, and Arroz con gandules.

Also, a part of Latinos Thanksgiving tradition is the desert where rice is the main ingredient. The dish is called Arroz con leche.

4. Latinas Cooking

Latinas make beautiful magic in the kitchen by making the tastiest and yummiest food for the celebration. They have the ability to cook multiple courses of meals for the entire family. And a part of Latinos Thanksgiving tradition in their homes is that they don't allow men to help them with their preparation.

5. Saying Grace

Saying grace is an important tradition of any home and Latinos are no exception to those groups of people who does.

Upon hearing the word "Amen", people at the table know that it is the signal of the start of tasting the food in front of them.

There are multiple Latinos Thanksgiving traditions. Those that are mentioned in this article are just some of the hundreds.
