Senator Ted Cruz used a clip from the film "Monty Python" as he mocked Vice President Kamala Harris on how she addresses the border crisis on his social media post Wednesday, June 2. 

It is not the first time Vice President Kamala Harris was mocked by her colleagues and even the people online. Harris was also placed under fire when she tweeted with her picture and encouraged everyone to "enjoy the long weekend," without mentioning Memorial Day, which is scheduled to take place on Monday. Many were disappointed about what she did but there are still some who defended the vice president.

Senator Ted Cruz Mocks VP Kamala Harris Using "Monty Python" Clip Regarding Border Crisis

In a clip Senator Ted Cruz posted on his Twitter account, knights were dropping their weapons and running away from a cave while a text pops out "Run away! Run away!" The Senator captioned the gif derived from a clip in "Monty Python" saying that Harris is invoking an old "leadership style" regarding the border crisis.

The gif posted by the senator garnered different sympathies from people online. Some users applauded Cruz's movement while some of them were not pleased and questioned what the senator did to fix the immigration problem.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris' staff, who was not identified, told New York Post that the vice president is focused on the "root causes" or the conditions in Central America that are forcing people to migrate from the region.

Unaccompanied migrant children continue to plunge into the U.S. borders. Recently, a five-year-old was reported left by smugglers at the border near El Paso, Texas. The child held a teddy bear as he screamed and pleaded with the smugglers not to abandon him.

Meanwhile, nearly 500 unaccompanied migrant children since December were placed under temporary care in Chicago-area shelters. Newsweek reported that the number of unaccompanied children is the highest since 2014. Most of the children were from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.

Kamala Harris to Visit Guatemala and Mexico

It can be remembered that Kamala Harris previewed her visit to Mexico and Guatemala scheduled for next week. People reported that Harris' visit marks her first international official trip.

"I'm here to listen as much as I am to share perspective," said Harris. Harris added that her visit will also be about "the need to have very frank and honest discussions" regarding corruption, crime, violence, which are particular against "the most vulnerable populations in that country."

Furthermore, Harris noted that she planned to urge Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammettei to support the people who need help when it comes to hunger, economic development piece, and extreme weather. The three factors of mass migration are often mentioned by experts.

Although mocked by Senator Cruz using a "Monty Python" clip, People noted that Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to travel to Guatemala on Sunday and then fly to Mexico that night.
