TikTok star Naim Darrechi of Spain has received backlash over his condom remarks, saying he avoids using a condom during sex by telling partners he is infertile.

BBC reported that the 19-year-old TikTok influencer's condom remarks can be heard in a video with Spanish YouTuber Mostopapi.

TikTok Star Naim Darrechi Claims Engaging in Unprotected Sex

While the Spanish teen was with Mostopapi, the TikTok star shared that he found it difficult to use a condom that's why he never use one.

Naim Darrechi further noted that since none of his partners had got pregnant from unprotected sex with him, he started to think he had a problem.

"I started thinking I had a problem. So I tell them 'relax, I'm sterile.' It's true," the TikTok star said. The YouTuber who was with him laughed as Naim Darrechi shared his story.

The Spanish teen's comments garnered criticisms from women and girls. Many of them took to Twitter to express their thoughts.

One Twitter user said they hate the TikTok star and they do not support fragile masculinity and toxicity.

Another user said that the Spanish teen and what he has done were "disgusting."

Some of the Spanish teen's critics also pointed to the risk of him passing on a sexually transmitted disease.

As the criticisms against the TikTok star continued to pour in, Evening Standard reported that Naim Darrechi took to Instagram to apologize.

"I want to say sorry from my heart, from my conscience. Sometimes I don't realize the responsibility that I have... I made a comment that really is out of place and that is not right," the TikTok star said.

The Spanish teen added: "Sometimes I say things and sometimes I exaggerate, but here it's just crazy what I said, I wish it had been cut at the edit and no one would ever have heard it."

Last May, Naim Darrechi also caused a social media controversy by denouncing abortion in a TikTok video.

Spain's Equality Minister on the TikTok Star's Condom Remarks

The TikTok star's condom remarks also spark an investigation as Spain's equality minister Irene Montero has asked a prosecutor to investigate Naim Darrechi and find out if he had told the truth.

Montero also asked the prosecutor to identify possible victims of his sexual deception that would constitute sexual abuse under Spain's current law.

"Bragging to 26 million followers of something like this [condom remarks] reflects the urgency of putting consent at the center," Montero tweeted.

Montero also emphasized that removing the condom or ejaculating inside without consent from the partner is considered sexual abuse.

Montero was referencing to a new law that was passed earlier this month. According to BBC, the new bill defines unprotected sex without consent as an assault.

If the remarks of TikTok star Naim Derrechi are found to be true, the Spanish teen could face between one and 12 years imprisonment under the new legislation.
