Cardi B does not seem to understand why other celebrities are not showering every day. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper joined the celebrity-bathing debate on Wednesday, asking why other people do not bathe daily.

Cardi B took to Twitter to share her opinion, saying that not bathing every day promotes itching.

"Wassup with people saying they don't shower? It's giving itchy," said the "I Like it Like That" rapper.

Cardi B fans replied to her funny query. One user said that not taking a bath gives "stank."

Another user said that she thinks some people only say it to be on the headlines.

Apart from Cardi B, several other celebrities also expressed their opposition to not showering daily. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson tweeted that he was the opposite of the "not washing themselves celeb."

Jason Momoa also said this week that he showers regularly. Momoa joked that he was not starting any trends for saying he showers because he's Aquaman.

Celebrities Who Admitted Not Showering Daily

Cardi B's confusion about taking a bath daily started when the showering debate popped out among celebrities.

Hollywood couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher sparked the showering debate when they revealed that they don't bathe their children daily.

Kunis and Kutcher's shower comment happened on Dax Shepherd's podcast last month. They said that they don't wash their kids unless they see "dirt on them."

The actor further noted that he only washes his armpit and his crotch daily, nothing else. Some celebrities agreed with Kunis and Kutcher.

Frozen voice actress Kristen Bell said she likes Kunis and Kutcher waiting for their kids to stink before washing them. Jake Gyllenhaal also admitted that he does not take a bath every day. Gyllenhaal noted that he finds showering to be less necessary at times.

Showering Daily: Is It Necessary?

Although showering daily sparked a debate among celebrities, experts agree with celebrities about not washing their kids every day.

Pediatrician Daniel S. Ganjian noted that adults only take a bath because of concerns such as body odor. However, small kids do not have that smell.

Ganjian also pointed out that the body makes natural oils to protect the skin and hair. That is why it is good for them to be present in the body.

Apart from the oil in the skin and hair, taking a bath every day especially scrubbing, also removes the good bacteria and other microorganisms.

Harvard Health Publishing further noted that showering daily can make the skin dry and irritated, allowing bacteria and allergens to enter and prompt infections and allergic reactions.

Experts noted that overcleaning the body is not a compelling health issue. Furthermore, showering daily does not also improve one's health.

Experts suggest that showering several times a week is plenty for most people. Short showers such as focusing on the armpits and groin also may suffice.
