In an unexpected move, Apple released iOS 7 beta 6 this week, a full week earlier than most people predicted. Check out the changes and download links below.

Apple is expected to unveil the final version of iOS 7 sometime during the first week of September, so maybe it shouldn't be a surprise that the company is pushing out new betas so quickly. Beta 6 comes just two weeks after the debut of beta 5. Of course, the quick turnaround could also mean there were severe bugs in beta 5 that Apple is surreptitiously fixing with the new update.

Before the beta 6 release, most pundits speculated there would be one more update before the final release of iOS 7, but this new beta throws that supposition into question. Apple has about three weeks before it's expected to roll out iOS 7 in all its glory, so it seems likely there will be at least one more public beta before then.

iOS 7 beta 6 is now available as an over the air update for the iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and iPod touch. If you want to download it, though, you'll need to be a registered app developer. If you're not, you can pay Apple a $99 licensing fee to gain access. Of course, you can also just wait for the final product next month, but where's the fun in that?
