"Rebelde" has a place in the hearts of many Latinos.

The telenovela launched the careers of many of today's biggest names and, unlike many other shows, it specifically centered around a group of teenagers who attended a performing arts high school.

This October, which marks 10 years since the beginning of the show, there will be a documentary released in all the countries that the show reached success. It will show how director Pedro Damian cast the parts, according to Informador.

The producer who managed both the show and the singing group that stemmed from the show has revisited about 80 hours of footage of the telenovela and international concerts from the very beginning to 2008, when the group broke up.

"The movie contains material that you've never seen," he said. "It's what was behind the scenes, what happened in dressing rooms, hotels, the streets, the places we visited and the RBD's split from Lula de Silva and everything that happened."

Damian confirmed that the documentary would also show the 2006 incident in Brazil that killed three fans. A security fence fell on them and at least 30 more when the band was signing autographs.

"It was something that really touched all of us, and it's important to put it in a way that's natural, organic and real," he said. "Simply so you can understand what we felt and what happened."

He will also have interviews with the members of the cast, though he admits that he has not spoken to all of them as of yet.

The documentary, which has yet to be titled, will be released in Italy, France, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Spain, the United States and Latin America, especially Mexico.

He also hopes to reunite the band for a musical performance.

"It's very difficult to reunite them, but it's not because of lack of enthusiasm. It's because of schedules," he said. "They have all gone to do diverse projects and it's hard for them to stop."
