Some states across the United States have released a stimulus check update, with some looking to send tax rebate checks out to their citizens to try and help them. The inflation rate currently experienced is seen to be the highest in 40 years.

According to Marca News, New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham passed a law earlier this month to provide $250 rebate checks for individuals and $500 for married couples.

The measure has income limits, with couples earning up to $150,000 and single filers with income up to $75,000 will be qualified for the checks.

Hawaii Gov. David Ige had suggested sending out $100 to each taxpayer and their dependents back in January, which would mean that a family of four would receive $400.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is looking to issue direct payments of $400 per vehicle to residents of California, with the cap being two vehicles. The checks could be sent out as early as July.

Stimulus Check New Mexico

In October 2021, the New Mexico Human Services Department started accepting applications for economic relief assistance from New Mexico, who did not qualify for federal pandemic stimulus payments, and those who did not receive a July 2021 state of New Mexico economic relief payment.

According to Human Services Department, stimulus checks will be provided to low-income households based on funding availability.

Those interested in being part of the stimulus checks in New Mexico were requested to provide their identification details, New Mexico's driver's license, individual taxpayer identification number, or social security number.

Angela Medrano, Deputy Secretary for the Human Services Department, said earlier that many low-income New Mexico families had experienced substantial economic and personal losses.

Medrano noted that the funds would help people in their community who were overlooked by the federal stimulus programs and those who need extra money to help feed and house their families.

Stimulus Check Hawaii

The stimulus check in Hawaii, also known as the Economic Impact Payment, is part of the COVID-19 relief provided to consumers by the Federal Government, according to HawaiiUSA.

The Bank of Hawaii said the Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Department would be updating the IRS's Get My Payment tool, which would allow eligible recipients to track their stimulus payments.

The payments are also automatic, without the need to contact the Bank of Hawaii or the IRS with payment timing questions.

Stimulus Check California

Gavin Newsom earlier said he was preparing to send direct payments worth $400 per vehicle to state residents.

California drivers see the highest gas prices across the country. The state's average price of gasoline is at $5.87 per gallon on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the last round of the Golden State Stimulus II payments is being mailed out to qualifying California residents, with eligible families receiving $600 plus $500 for dependents, according to Fox 11 News.

California has already issued more than eight million checks and deposited more than $5.9 billion.
