U.S. President Joe Biden has described media news outlet Fox News as "one of the most destructive forces in the United States," based on an upcoming book by two New York Times reporters.

The New York Times reporters were namely Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns. The two wrote, "This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America's Future," according to The Daily Wire report.

The book is set to be released in May, with Martin and Burns reporting that Biden has a hypercritical view of Fox News and Fox Corporation founder Rupert Murdoch.

Biden reportedly told an associate last year that Murdoch is "the most dangerous man in the world," according to the book.

New York Times Reporters' Book

The two reporters noted that the Democratic president claimed to have said in mid-2021 that Murdoch was "even more toxic" than Fox News, according to an Independent report.

The book has earlier made the news when the president's wife, Jill Biden, was reportedly not in favor of Kamala Harris' selection as her husband's running mate and the vice president's 2020 presidential campaign being a "fiasco."

Meanwhile, a White House spokesperson has declined to comment on the book's claims.

Biden allies have accused Murdoch and his eldest son Lachlan Murdoch, who is the CEO of Fox News, of endorsing right-wing hosts, such as Tucker Carlson. Carlson is known for his anti-immigrant and racist comments.

The book revealed that White House communications director, Kate Bedingfield, reportedly said that the vice president was to be blamed for "a messy" office.

The authors cited that Bedingfield was saying that Harris' Senate office had been messy, and her 2020 presidential campaign "had been a fiasco."

Bedingfield responded and said she has "utmost respect for the work she does every day to move the country forward."

The White House communications director said that the authors did not "fact check this unattributed claim."

Media News Outlet Fox News

Washington Post's Philip Bump made an analysis about Fox News' role in American media.

Bump noted that there are four elements that make Fox News a "uniquely damaging part" of the American news narrative such as its strength on the political right, the way it shapes its viewers' beliefs, the hold of the news outlet on Republican power, and views of its leadership.

The Washington Post and the University of Maryland conducted a national poll noting where people get their news about politics and government.

Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents were getting their main sources from CNN, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, NPR, the Times, and The Post.

Meanwhile, Republicans get their news sources from local television and Fox News, which was the reason why Fox News wins the rating battle.

Murdoch's son oversees Fox News's parent company, claiming in an interview last month that the channel competes more with network television than its cable-news peers.

Murdoch controls a media empire that includes Fox News Channel, The Times of London, and The Wall Street Journal, with his net worth being around $9.2 billion.
