NBA Star Damian Lillard was not surprised that Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol's match over the weekend took another turn in favor of the Russian boxer.

The Portland Trailblazer star took to Twitter on Thursday to express why he thinks Alvarez lost to Bivol during their bout on Saturday, claiming that he thought at first the Canelo would win the match.

Lillard then noted Alvarez's great jab and good feet, and that the Mexican boxer throws his combination attacks well. However, he claimed that he also knew that Alvarez would be challenged in his match against Bivol.

"[I] knew Canelo would have a hard time getting close... and that high guard wasn't it in this fight. And Bivol was unbothered throughout the whole build-up," Damian Lillard underscored.
