A Broward County Medical Examiner's Office investigation report revealed that Dwayne Haskins, the late Steelers quarterback, had drunk heavily and ingested ketamine in the hours leading up to his passing.

TMZ Sports reported that Haskins also had a blood alcohol level of .24 at the time of the April 9 accident.

A representative for the Steelers told investigators that the late quarterback had trained with teammates in the Miami area all day on April 8, which eventually led to them going to a club in the evening with a "friend or cousin."

Investigators noted in the medical examiner's office documents that the representative told them that Haskins "drank heavily" and got into a fight.

Haskins was found dead hours later on a Florida highway after being struck by a dump truck.

The quarterback was earlier with a female companion inside a vehicle before the accident in the Florida highway, according to investigators at the scene.

The investigators noted that Haskins had left the car on foot to try to find a gas station. Meanwhile, the woman's relationship with the Steelers quarterback was not mentioned in the documents.

Two blood tests were done on Haskin, with one revealing a .20 alcohol level while the other showed a .24.

The report also showed Haskins' urine samples testing positive for ketamine and norketamine.

Ketamine can be used as a powerful sedative and also known as the party drug, sometimes called Special K.

Dwayne Haskins' Death

Florida Highway Patrol officials said that Dwayne Haskins had been walking on the highway and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Broward County Medical Examiner identified Haskins' cause of death as "multiple blunt force injuries," while his manner of death was determined as an "accident."

Haskins' wife, Kalabrya, was heard explaining the situation to a 911 operator in a call released last month.

Kalabrya said that she was calling as her husband was stuck on the side of the highway, adding that he had to go walk and get gas, according to an NBC Sports News report.

Kalabrya explained to the 911 operator that she was calling from Pittsburgh and had been on the phone with her husband when his phone went off.

The autopsy noted that Haskins reportedly witnessed waving cars down when he was struck by the truck and an SUV.

Dwayne Haskins' Funeral

Dwayne Sr. and Tamara Haskins said in a joint statement that they have never met nor spoken to the wife of their son, adding that they did not want their son's funeral service to be the place they met her for the first time.

A funeral service was held in Rockaway Township, New Jersey, while the second memorial service was at Haskins' high school Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland.
