Camille Vasquez, the lawyer of Johnny Depp during the Amber Heard trial, is currently receiving a flood of offers from Hollywood law firms.

New York Post reported that Vasquez is at the center of an ongoing bidding war between law firms that want her on their team after her victory in Depp's trial, according to sources.

Industry sources noted that doors are opening for Vasquez, adding that it is just a matter of time which one she chooses.

One source said talent agents are orbiting Vasquez after they recognized that "she is the unicorn," which is a smart, savvy, poised attorney. The source added that her performance during the trial propelled her to a level of visibility. The person familiar with the matter also said that Vasquez being a woman of color "is an added bonus."

Sources said that since the trial's conclusion, the Depp lawyer has received offers from several traditional TV networks and cable channels.

A former network executive familiar with the matter said that Vasquez is "inarguably a great voice to weigh in on legal matters."

The former executive said that networks are "naturally chomping" at the bit to speak about on-air opportunities.

Johnny Depp Lawyer Camille Vasquez

Camille Vasquez was recently spotted with her boyfriend in Virginia. She is currently dating 38-year-old Edward Owen.

Owen is a Cambridge-educated senior director at WeWork and is in charge of real estate for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, according to a Geo TV News report. He earned a degree in history from Cambridge in 2005 and a master of philosophy in real estate in 2006.

Owen is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He joined WeWork in 2017, having spent eight years working for international developer titan Swire Properties before.

Vasquez spoke out outside the courtroom after the verdict was read. She said that the ruling confirms what they have said from the start, that the claims against Depp are "defamatory and unsupported" by any evidence.

Camille Vasquez During Amber Heard's Trial

Camille Vasquez cross-examined Amber Heard, with the highlights including when she asked the Aquaman actor whether the $7 million divorce settlement amount had been donated to charity by her.

NDTV News noted that Heard tried to avoid answering it directly by saying she had pledged the money to different charities.

Vasquez then replied and said, "Ms. Heard, respectfully, that's not my question."

Johnny Depp sued Heard for $50 million in defamation, claiming that a 2018 article she wrote for Washington Post damaged his career.

Heard talked about being a domestic abuse survivor in the article. However, he had not named Depp.

Heard then filed a $100 million countersuit against Depp, claiming that she was granted a temporary restraining order.

The jury decided to award Depp $15 million in damages on Wednesday.

Vasquez is a litigation associate for Brown Rudnick, which Depp hired to oversee his legal defense.
