Rob Gronkowski may be coming out of retirement to play with Tom Brady... again.

The legendary tight end announced his retirement last month. However, not many were convinced he was going away from football for good. One of the people who believe he will be coming back is none other than his girlfriend, Kamille Kostek.

The model spoke with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition before she took to the runway at W South Beach in Miami. She said that she does not think his retirement is a "forever" one.

Kostek also compared Gronkowski's retirement with his friend and teammate Tom Brady. She said that she feels that Gronkowski and the legendary Super Bowl-winning quarterback are just having fun with retiring and unretiring.

Rob Gronkowski Remained Adamant That He Will Stay Retired, Even if Tom Brady Calls

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Rob Gronkowski had been pretty adamant about staying retired in the week prior. He had an interview with ESPN's Mike Reiss and stressed that he wants to pursue business and he will remain retired, even if Tom Brady himself calls him again.

In that interview, Gronkowski said that even if he loved the game and was blessed with opportunities, he is already "done with Football." He said he now wants to enter the world of business and have business ventures. He added that he wants to see what is out there and where he can find his place.

However, while Gronk himself is saying that he will not be coming back to play football ever again, many sports writers, and even his girlfriend, believe otherwise. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also believes he is will be coming back as well.

Rob Gronkowski Announced His Retirement Due to Injuries

Gronkowski first retired in 2018, before coming back two years later to play with Tom Brady once again, but this time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to CBS Sports, Gronkowski initially said that he would come back if Brady asked him to. This time, however, he had been firm in saying he will not return any more.

For this second retirement, Gronkowski cited he decided to retire due to injuries. Over his long NFL career, the tight end suffered numerous injuries and has missed a lot of games due to them.

He suffered two huge injuries on September 26, 2021, in a loss to the Rams while playing for the Buccaneers. He not only suffered a chest rib fracture, but also a punctured lung. He missed four games afterward. His final injury before announcing his retirement was when he had lower back lumbar muscle spasms during a game at New Orleans. He missed one game afterward.

In his second retirement, Gronkowski already had a stellar Hall of Fame-level career. He caught 719 passes for 10,675 yards, and also scored 107 touchdowns.

In addition, he also made the First-Team All-Pro four times, as well as has become a five-time Pro-Bowler. Finally, he won the Super Bowl four times, all of them with Tom Brady. He won thrice with the New England Patriots and once with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
