President Joe Biden has been cleared to break isolation following a second negative COVID-19 test. After getting isolated again for yet another COVID-19 infection, the president took an antigen test for the second consecutive day and tested negative.

White House physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor released a letter clearing Biden for travel. He said the president can now return to public engagement and presidential travel.

After getting cleared, Biden's first stop on Sunday was Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It was the first time he went out of Washington D.C. since late July, when he first tested positive for the virus.

Joe Biden Had a Case of 'Paxlovid Rebound'

According to ABC News, Joe Biden was isolated in the White House and took a five-day Paxlovid treatment course. He tested negative after the treatment but tested positive again soon after.

Biden then continued to test positive for the virus until getting those two straight negative results. O'Connor said the treatment is possible for "rebound positivity," as some patients who take Paxlovid can test positive again after finishing the treatment.

However, while there are risks of a "Paxlovid rebound," the treatment drastically lowers the risk of hospitalization. According to Voice of America News, Biden is now up and about, with his next stop being Kentucky. He will be viewing flood damage in the state on Monday and meeting with the affected families.

While Joe Biden was isolated in the White House residence area, the first lady, Jill Biden, stayed in their home state of Delaware. She was reunited with her husband following his two straight negative COVID-19 test results.

Joe Biden Exits COVID-19 Isolation With Career-Defining Wins

While he was isolating for COVID-19, Joe Biden managed to get some landmark victories in his career. One of the most notable is the mission's success, which killed Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Al-Zawahiri was killed in a drone strike in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was one of the masterminds behind the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001, which struck the Pentagon and the World Trade Center buildings.

The killing of the terrorist leader was a result of Biden's order to minimize casualties. He then announced the mission's success while still in isolation.

Biden also got it done on the legislative end, with the Associated Press describing them as "legacy-defining legislative victories." It includes lawmakers passing a bipartisan bill addressing gun violence and boosting the nation's high-tech manufacturing sector.

He is also now at the point of securing what he called the "final piece" of his economic agenda. Thanks to the passage of a Democrats-only climate and prescription drug deal.

Because that bill was not bipartisan, it showed that the Democrats can still get it done with the slimmest of majorities. The president previously played an active role in trying to pass these bills. However, these efforts did not work, so he decided on a more hands-off approach.

That worked more as Senators managed to pass key legislations, which included the bipartisan gun reform bill, the first substantive gun restrictions in nearly 30 years.
