New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday suggested busing New Yorkers to Texas to unseat Governor Greg Abbott, who is responsible for busing illegal migrants into the Big Apple.

The NYC mayor made his comments during his news conference on Tuesday, claiming that he had already called his friends in Texas and told them about how to cast their votes, per Fox News.

"I am deeply contemplating taking a busload of New Yorkers to go to Texas and do some good old fashion doorknocking, because for the good of America we have to get him out of office," Adams underscored.

Abbott's campaign spokesman responded to the comments of the New York City mayor, telling the Daily Mail on Tuesday that Adams was an addition to those who side with Beto O'Rourke, who will face the current governor of Texas in the upcoming gubernatorial elections.

"It sounds like the Mayor of New York has taken on the additional role of political director for the Beto O' Rourke campaign," Abbott's campaign speaker highlighted.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams Blasts Texas Gov, Greg Abbott for Busing Migrants

Two days before Adams made the suggestion of busing New Yorkers to Texas, the NYC mayor had also blasted the Texas governor after the second bus of migrants from the Lone Star State arrived in the Big Apple. On Sunday, Adams greeted the second bus with 40 migrants onboard, only 14 of whom disembarked in New York City.

In his remarks, the mayor called Abbott's move "horrific." The mayor noted that they found out that some of the illegal migrants bused to New York City that day wanted to go to other locations, but the authorities from Texas did not allow them to do so.

"They were forced on the bus with the understanding that they were going to other locations that they wanted to go to, and when they tried to explain they were not allowed to do so," Adams underscored.

Adams also took to Twitter on Sunday to announce that New Yorkers would step up to fix the crisis of Abbott making the illegal migrants his political pawns. However, he underscored that they need the help of the federal government, such as money and technical assistance.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Busing Migrants to New York City

Abbott began busing migrants to New York City from Texas last week. According to reports, the Lone Star State has bused about 100 people to the Big Apple over the weekend.

Abbott said in a statement on Friday that New York City is also an ideal destination for illegal immigrants, contending that they can receive an abundance of the city's service and housing that was boasted by Adams.

Abbott has also invited Eric Adams and DC mayor Muriel Bowser to Texas and see what the border crisis looks like firsthand.

On Monday, Abbott called Adams a "hypocrite" for being upset about welcoming "few dozen" migrants into New York City.

Adams fired back on Tuesday, calling Abbott irresponsible, adding that he thinks the Texas governor is not accomplishing anything except "exposing the type of individual that he is."
