A Pennsylvania mom of six was found dead in a passenger seat of a minivan, riddled with stab wounds.

Ashley Lockhart, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to People, the Philadelphia Police Department said Lockhart was stabbed multiple times in the arms and neck.

Police found Lockhart in the passenger seat of the Honda Odyssey minivan left on the 5300 block of Chestnut Street on Saturday morning.

Pennsylvania Mom's Fiance Arrested, Denied Bail

Police have arrested Ashley Lockhart's fiance, Raymond Thompson. He was the lead suspect in her death, and the victim previously filed a restraining order against him.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office Chief of Homicide Joanne Pescatore said the Pennsylvania mom did the right thing in filing that restraining order, but it seemed not enough.

Despite the restraining order, Pescatore noted that the suspect still managed to get Lockhart into his car. Authorities are investigating how that happened.

Reports said Thompson went to a convenience store, returned to the vehicle, and stabbed the Pennsylvania mom in broad daylight.

According to Law & Crime, police said the motive might have been jealousy. Thompson told investigators that he stabbed Lockhart because he believed she had cheated on him.

Thompson reportedly took a train to the Kensington neighborhood and used heroin before he called the cops to turn himself in.

Court documents revealed that the suspect was denied bail and was appointed an attorney named Douglas Lee Dolfman.

Authorities charged Thompson with murder and possessing instruments of crime. His prior convictions include drug offenses.

He also previously pleaded guilty to resisting arrest during an arrest in a drug case. He reportedly jumped onto railroad tracks to escape the police.

Cousin and Pastor Say Pennsylvania Mom Loved by All

Ashley Lockhart's brutal stabbing at the hands of her former fiance has left her family in mourning.

The Pennsylvania mom leaves behind six young daughters, the youngest only five months old. She called them her "six charms."

The news devastated her other family members as well. Her first cousin, Senior Pastor William Brownlee, spoke to Fox 29 and said he received the devastating news as he got offstage during an anti-violence event in Germantown.

The pastor said he was shocked, adding that Lockhart was "loved by everyone." Brownlee further noted that the Pennsylvania mom loved Thompson unconditionally despite having reported protection from abuse against him.

He said Lockhart fought for Thompson, and she was the one who loved the children. The pastor admitted they were all mad at Thompson, but he still asked for forgiveness for the suspect.

Brownlee noted that he needs the family to fight the "curse of division" as Thompson is still the father of the six girls. He said he will pray instead of retaliation and wanted to have a reconciliation.

The pastor is asking the city of Philadelphia to develop a plan to help those suffering from abuse and help those with protection orders like Lockhart.

GoFundMe Page has been launched to help support the Pennsylvania mom's six daughters. It was not clear if the suspect was the father of any of the children.
