Selena Quintanilla's fans will hear new versions of some of her songs as the Tejano music legend's family releases a new album. Selena's first new album in 27 years, "Moonchild Mixes," was released on Friday, August 26.

The latest album was announced by her estate, with her brother, A.B. Quintanilla, telling ABC News that they have to fuse old school ways with new school ways to produce Selena's new album.

According to NPR, this album was described by Warner Music Latina, a collaborator in the project, as a combination of ballads and cumbias, which was sourced from various parts of Quintanilla's family catalog.

The said album was crafted for more than a year and arrived nearly three decades after Selena's death. Selena's brother noted that they hope the singer's new album will "breathe new life into this old music" and create "new for the newer generation."

Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, noted that they worked to age the voice of the Queen of Tejano music and make it "fuller."

"My son worked on Selena's voice with the computers and if you listen to her, she sounds on this recording like she did right before she passed away," Abraham noted.

Selena Quintanilla Songs in New 'Moonchild Mixes' Album

To give you a glimpse of Selena Quintanilla's new album, here are some of the songs included in the latest "Moonchild Mixes" album.

Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti

"Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti" is the lead single of Selena's new album. This famous song of the Latino icon has been updated and enhanced for digital release for her fans to enjoy.

The song is one of three updated renditions of past songs created for the new album.

Enamorada De Ti

"Enamorada De Ti" was a song originally written for Ven Conmigo. The song was also part of a remix album of the same name that was released in 2012 by a group of industry bigwigs who wanted the music of Selena to reach a modern audience.

Dame Tu Amor

"Dame Tu Amor" or "Give Me Your Love" in English is also included in Selena's new album. It was originally recorded in 1986 for her studio album "Alpha."

This song is a ranchera ballad with cumbia influences. It peaked at number 31 on U.S. Billboard Hot Ringtones Chart in 2006.

Corazoncito

"Corazoncito" or "Little Heart" in English is also included in the "Moonchild Mixes" album. The song was the fourth track on the "Alpha" album.

It was composed by the singer's brother, A.B. Quintanilla. This song is a mix of Tejano and cumbia music.

Dreaming of You

Although not included in "Moonchild Mixes," "Dreaming of You," is a Selena song you must listen to.

This song, which is included in her fifth and final studio album, has been compared to the ballads released by Madonna and Paula Abdul.

"Dreaming of You" gave Selena Quintanilla an award from Broadcast Music Incorporated Pop Award for having two million airplay impressions in 1996.

The song became one of the Latina icon's most popular and recognizable recordings, and various artists have since covered it.
