The Polk County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies have busted several human trafficking operations in Florida. A recent large sting operation led to the arrest of around 160 people.

Among those arrested include a Disney employee, a corrections officer, a former deputy police chief, and several teachers.

According to Blaze News, this was all part of an undercover investigation called "Operation Fall Haul 2." It was a seven-day sting operation that focused on cracking down on human trafficking, with several undercover police officers posing as prostitutes and luring sex traffickers.

Who Were Caught in the Florida Sting Operations to Catch Human Traffickers

Among those who were arrested was Disney bellhop Guillermo Perez, 57. According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, he allegedly tried to have sex with an undercover detective for $80.

Also arrested was Samy Claude, 26, who often works with Disney as a photographer. He also tried to have sex with an undercover cop, even offering her a bag of sour Skittles.

Unfortunately, some of those who were arrested worked for the government, such as Lake County Correctional Officer Keith Nieves, 24, and Jason DiPrima, 49, the Deputy Chief of Administration for the Cartersville Police Department in Georgia.

DiParma resigned from his position following his arrest. There were also teachers and school staff arrested, including Carlos Davenport, 36, a math teacher at New Dimensions High School in Osceola County.

John Layton, 26, who tried to pay $40 for a sex act, is a non-faculty coach at West Orange High School in Orange County. He was arrested wearing a school track and field shirt.

Another school staff member arrested was Cameron Burke, 43, a school computer technician. Reports said he was out on bond for lewd and lascivious battery on a 15-year-old student at Oak Ridge High School in Orange County.

The sting operation also led to the arrest of a woman who allegedly tried to sell marijuana to an undercover detective while still with her 2-year-old child.

The seven-day sting operation also confiscated cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy), and marijuana.

Human Trafficking Victims Encountered in Florida Sting Operations

The Polk County Sheriff's Office said it encountered two human trafficking victims and five other possible victims in its investigation.

One of those victims was 10 weeks pregnant and was given drugs and fentanyl to try and abort her child.

One More Child, Heartland for Children, My Name My Voice, and the Children's Home Society of Florida are all social service organizations that helped in the sting operation.

Authorities have offered the services of these social service organizations to help out these victims of human trafficking. However, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd admitted that these human trafficking victims are some of the most difficult people to work with.

WFLA reported that Florida law allows law enforcement to wipe their arrest from the public record should they come forward as victims of human trafficking.
