In an effort to "Stop the Steal," several die-hard Donald Trump supporters tried stealing some voting machines. It was also revealed that some of these men who attempted seizing voting machines in Arizona texted Trump Chief-of-Staff Mark Meadows and kept him updated on their efforts.

CNN obtained the text messages from prominent election conspiracy theorist Phil Waldron, who sent these messages from then-White House Chief-of-Staff Mark Meadows on December 23, 2021.

Waldron's text to Meadows stated that an Arizona judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by pro-Trump Arizona GOP lawmakers to hand over voting machines and other election equipment. This was all part of Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential elections, as well as support his baseless and debunked claims of voter fraud.

Waldron also told Meadows that the decision would allow their opponents to engage in "delay tactics" to prevent him and his associates from accessing the voting machines. To this, Meadows responded with only one word, "pathetic."

The election conspiracy theorist also stated in the texts that they planned to use Arizona as the "lead domino" in starting a cascade in other battleground states like Georgia.

Phil Waldron Worked Directly With Rudy Giuliani to Gain Access to Voting Data

The texts revealed by CNN also showed that Phil Waldron texted Mark Meadows again a few days later, on December 29. He told the Chief-of-Staff that his team allegedly found some "voting irregularities" in multiple states and dubbed it the "Southern steal." He claimed that his team had already "analyzed" election data from "several counties."

Reports also revealed that Waldron was in charge of "operational planning" for efforts to access voting machine data. He also worked directly with Trump attorney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, where he soon became the Trump Team's favorite "expert witness" on election fraud. He often appeared alongside Giuliani in efforts to have officials believe that the outcomes of the elections were "tainted."

Who Is Phil Waldron? What Is His Connection to Mark Meadows?

According to the Daily Mail, Phil Waldron is a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army. He had become known in various pro-Trump circles for providing various conspiracy theories involving election fraud, the CCP, Dominion, and George Soros.

Forbes Magazine also pointed out that along with Mark Meadows, he was subpoenaed by investigators in Fulton County, Georgia. Aside from his efforts to breach election data in Arizona, he also tried to breach the election infrastructure in Coffee County, Georgia.

He was also involved in the controversial Maricopa County audit in Arizona and helped draft an executive order they wanted then-President Trump to sign. This executive order allowed the federal government to seize voting machines. He reportedly presented a PowerPoint Presentation about the entire scheme, and Mark Meadows had his hands on it. In fact, it was Meadows himself who handed it over to House January 6 investigators as evidence.

A Washington Post report stated that Waldron met with Meadows personally at the White House following the election. However, a Trump White House source also stated that while Waldron did meet with Meadows, he had "little or nothing to do with him."
