U.S. President Joe Biden allegedly has knowledge of his son Hunter Biden's business deals, and the president may have been involved in some of them.

Fox News reported that Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley made the accusations, further suggesting that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has "voluminous evidence" regarding the possible criminality of those business dealings.

Grassley sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss about new whistleblower claims involving the FBI.

Grassley alleged that the whistleblowers noted that the bureau holds "significant, impactful, and voluminous evidence" regarding the possible criminal conduct of Hunter and his uncle James Biden.

Grassley added in his letter that the documents also indicate that Biden was aware of his son's ventures and "may have been involved in some of them."

Weiss has the current oversight of the investigation on the president's son and his business dealings.

The Republican senator then wrote that it is unclear whether Weiss "has performed his own due diligence" regarding the allegations.

Grassley also wrote in his letter that the Justice Department and FBI have not disputed the accuracy of the allegations that have been made public since May 31.

The Republican lawmaker included in its letter an attached contract, which was signed by Hunter and James with three other business associates, according to Grassley's news release.

The contract attached was part of an arrangement designed to allot $5 million from the Chinese communist government-connected CEFC to Hunter and James to compensate them for work done.

During that time, Biden was the United States vice president.

Grassley was also noted to frequently hear from current and former government employees who come forward detailing fraud, waste, abuse, and gross management in government agencies or by government contractors.

The senator's office did not reveal the identities of the said whistleblowers.

Hunter Biden Investigation

In September, a senior FBI agent resigned after months of scrutiny from whistleblowers and Republicans accusing him of partisan meddling in the investigation on Hunter,

Deseret News noted that the assistant special agent in charge in the District of Columbia, Timothy Thibault, was allegedly forced out of his job at the bureau.

Thibault denied the allegations and said in a statement that he informed his superiors that he intended to retire.

Recently, it was reported that federal agents probing Hunter believe that they have gathered enough evidence to charge the president's son with tax crimes and a false statements related to a gun purchase.

The probe on Hunter started in 2018 and became a focal point for former U.S. President Donald Trump during his reelection effort in 2020, as reported by Washington Post.

The investigation was mainly focused on Hunter's finances and overseas business ties and consulting work.

It is now up to prosecutors at the Justice Department to decide whether to file charges in cases where prosecutors believe the evidence is strong enough to lead to a conviction.
