Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could lose their royal titles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, amid the succession of the new monarch King Charles.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl made the claims, adding that if the Sussex couple were to continue their attacks on the royal family, their titles could be "in danger," according to a Business Insider report.

Nicholl said that Charles could release his "ruthless side" by keeping titles away, not just from his grandchildren Archie and Lili, but also from Harry and Markle.

Archie and Lili are entitled to be known as prince and princess, being the grandchildren of the current monarch. However, the two have yet to receive their titles.

The royal expert added that Harry and Markle are fearless when it comes to being critical of the monarchy, as seen from their past ventures such as the Oprah interview.

Nicholl said that she heard from her sources that people could see King Charles' "ruthless side," noting that Charles would be assertive when it comes to the family, institution, or the reputation of the Crown.

King Charles' Ruthless Side

Nicholl was further asked about the "ruthless side" of King Charles, saying that it was not a coincidence that people have not seen any titles given to Archie and Lilibet.

She noted in a Mirror report that the whole matter of titles is up for discussion, adding that "the respect has to be earned."

Nicholl said that she personally thinks that there might be some doubts over the future of Harry and Markle's titles, especially if they are seen to be "deliberately tarnishing the reputation of the monarchy."

The comments regarding the Sussex family's royal titles came as Harry's memoir and the couple's Netflix docuseries are scheduled for release before the year ends.

However, there have been mishaps after the queen's death as Harry wanted to make last-minute edits to his memoir.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also wanted to make some alterations to their docuseries after Queen Elizabeth's death.

Prince Harry Memoir and Netflix Docuseries

Meanwhile, Charles and Camilla are reportedly in "panic mode" over Harry's new memoir, which is scheduled to be released later this year. The two have been working on Camilla's image ever since they had been married.

Yahoo Lifestyle noted that a source noted that Charles and Camilla are convinced that it will be a "burn book thinly disguised as a memoir."

The source added that the Duke of Sussex has a lot of "unresolved anger about his parents' divorce." The king reportedly believes that Harry will be "taking it all out on Camilla."

Camilla was reportedly scared that she will be forced to hide as she did when she was hated for separating Charles from Princess Diana.

Nicholl noted that Harry's upcoming memoir and their Netflix documentary would seem "insensitive" after the Queen's death.

The royal expert said that the two were daring in criticizing the royal family, but that "timing is everything."
