Mixed martial artist, actor, and '90s icon Jason David Frank touched the lives of millions as the Green Ranger, later the White Ranger, Tommy Oliver, in the hit Power Rangers franchise. He was 49 years old.

His manager, Justine Hunt, spoke to the Associated Press and stated that the Power Rangers star died in his Texas home on November 19. However, no further details surrounding his death were confirmed.

Hunt asked for the "privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being."

Jason David Frank May Have Committed Suicide, Say Rumors

The death of the Power Rangers actor was initially thought of as a hoax when it first surfaced on November 20. However, when his manager confirmed that it was true, the internet has gone into mourning.

While no official cause of death has been released yet, KTLA is reporting that rumors are now circulating that Frank, who is known to be a very active and healthy individual, committed suicide.

These rumors state that Frank was going through a difficult divorce, and this led to him taking his life. This also came as his stepdaughter Shayla, also took her own life in 2021.

Other Power Rangers Mourn the Loss of the Real-life Green Ranger

Jason David Frank was thrust into stardom as Tommy Oliver, who appeared in various Power Rangers shows across multiple decades. Through the years, he had become the most prominent Power Ranger in the franchise. Now, his costars are mourning his loss, according to Deadline.

Amy Jo Johnson, who was the Pink Ranger in the first Power Rangers series, wrote a message for her late co-star on social media. She wrote, "Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique," and added that her life will not be the same without Frank's "frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven and creative ball of energy."

"I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now In Peace...," she wrote in her post.

Walter Emanuel Jones, who played the Black Ranger, Zack Taylor, also took to social media to post an image of himself with the other original power Rangers boys. He stated "Can't believe it.... RIP Jason David Frank. My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family."

Austin St. John, who is the original Red Ranger and rival to Frank's character, Tommy, also took to social media to express his condolences to his fallen co-star. He wrote, "'Once a ranger, always a ranger' thoughts and prayers...."

Blake Foster, who appeared alongside the late actor in the Power Rangers movie sequel Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, stated that he too was heartbroken with the actor's death. "Cried all night. Heartbroken yet again. Lost my hero, our leader, my friend and an icon. Life really sucks man," he wrote.

The Red Ranger after Austin St. John, Steve Cardenas, also mourned the loss of the vaunted White Ranger and stated, "Words simply cannot describe the shock and sadness I'm feeling in this moment." He then added that "Jason David Frank is and forever will be an icon."
