Kanye West has asked Donald Trump to be his running mate for his 2024 presidential bid, and here's how the former president reacted.

According to The Sun, the rapper revealed Trump's reaction in a new campaign video he shared on his Twitter on Thanksgiving night.

Kanye went to Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida earlier this week with infamous white nationalist Nick Fuentes, whom he described as someone the former president respected, to ask Trump to be his running mate.

In the video he posted on Twitter on Thursday night, the rapper noted that Trump "was most perturbed" about him "asking him to be my vice president."

"I think that was like lower on the list of things that caught him off guard," he noted.

And then Kanye revealed that Trump yelled at him when he asked him to be his running mate, telling him that his 2024 presidential run was a mistake, the Independent reported.

"When Trump started basically screaming at the table telling me I was gonna lose, I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? I'm like, 'wait, hold on, Trump, you're talking to Ye'," the rapper said.

The Daily Beast reported that the clip ends with the intro to Kanye's 2016 song "Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1" and a title card reading "YE24."

Last week, Kanye West announced he will run for president again in 2024 after a failed bid in 2020.

Donald Trump Hosts Kanye West at Mar-a-Lago

Nick Fuentes reportedly accompanied Kanye West to Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, where the rapper later had dinner alone with the former president.

Daily Mail reported that Kanye posted a poll on Twitter on Tuesday asking his more than 32 million followers if he should ask Trump to be his running mate in 2024.

According to reports, Kanye and Fuentes were first spotted together at a Miami airport earlier Tuesday. The rapper tweeted about meeting Trump to ask him to be his running mate later in the evening.

The Daily Beast reported that Kanye and Fuentes were seen together at Trump's golf club. But a source also told The Daily Beast that while the rapper dined with Trump on Tuesday night, Fuentes was not there for that meeting.

Unlike Donald Trump, Kanye West Has yet to File His Paperwork for 2024 Presidential Run

Unlike Donald Trump, Kanye West has yet to file the basic paperwork to become a presidential candidate in 2024. The former president filed his paperwork to run again in 2024 with the Federal Election Commission on November 15.

During the 2020 presidential campaign, Kanye reportedly conceded after garnering 60,000 votes across 12 states. The results were not surprising, given the rapper's late entry into the race followed by a haphazard campaign.

He ran as an independent candidate under the "Birthday Party" banner. Kanye's vague platform promised to "reduce household debt" and restore prayer in schools. However, the actual policy side of his campaign seemed to lack details.

He even suggested bringing more "fun" back to the White House. Although he has conceded in the 2020 presidential election, the rapper earlier said he will not give up on his dream to be the next U.S. president and look forward to the 2024 election.
