King Charles reportedly wanted his other son, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle to attend his coronation in May, according to senior sources.

Charles also asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to come between his two warring sons. Justin Welby will also officiate the coronation to help mediate tensions between Prince William and Prince Harry ahead of the celebration, according to New York Post.

Meanwhile, Prince William wants his younger brother and Markle to be away from Westminster Abbey after the release of the Duke of Sussex's memoir "Spare."

Insiders said that King Charles believe his younger son and his wife's absence would cause more drama than their attendance despite earlier stating that he had "no appetite" to engage with the duke.

The monarch is reportedly offering Harry and Markle a "high-profile seating position" in the Abbey or an informal assurance that Harry will be able to keep his titles, according to sources.

The Daily Mail source said that the royal family is divided regarding the matter, with Harry being advised to "agree to nothing" at this stage and to "play it long."

King Charles Inviting Prince Harry to Coronation

William is reportedly against the attendance of his younger brother at their father's coronation, saying that his main concern will be Harry overshadowing the event and using it as an opportunity for a "stunt," according to The Independent.

Harry has earlier said that the "door is always open" for reconciliation, adding that the "ball is in their court" to reach out to him.

BBC executives are allegedly working with palace aides to give an interview about Charles' plans as a monarch, including addressing claims about the family's relationships.

It is believed that the BBC interview could show in the coronation coverage on May 6.

Charles' long-term friend, Jonathan Dimbleby, is speculated to be the person conducting the interview.

Charles and Dimbleby remained to be close friends even after they worked together on a book and television interview, wherein the new king admitted to being unfaithful to Diana while they were married.

Meanwhile, Charles, William, and Kate have yet to comment on any claims made by Harry in his memoir and their Netflix docuseries.

Prince Harry and Royal Family Feud

Harry made a series of claims against the royal family, including his fight with his older brother, William.

The Duke of Sussex wrote that William grabbed him by the collar, ripped his necklace, and knocked him to the floor, which caused a crack under his back after landing on the dog's bowl.

He also talked about seeking the help of a woman who "claimed to have powers."

The woman noted that his mother, Princess Diana, says that he is living the life "that she couldn't live."

He also wrote about the events after Diana's car accident in Paris, which led him to question the official cause of her death.

Harry also recalled the way his father woke him up to break the news that his mother had been involved in a car accident, writing that Charles did not hug him.
