The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will be facing off Sunday night for the Vince Lombardi Trophy for Super Bowl 57. Many are now wondering how much the winning players and losers will get this year.

According to Entrepreneur, this is all based on the NFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement. As expected, the winning team's players will receive a bigger amount, but the losers will also get a big fat paycheck.

The additional money that each winning team member is getting larger each year. For this year, the winning team's members will each receive $157,000, a raise of $7,000 if compared to last year's Super Bowl winners.

As for the losing team, the members will receive $82,000 as a consolation prize, which is almost half what the winners would be getting this year.

However, that is not all, as the Super Bowl-winning team will also be getting an additional $5,000 to $7,000 to produce up to 150 Super Bowl rings. Each ring will be custom-designed by the team, though any extra cost in the production will fall to the team owners.

Playing in the Super Bowl is one thing, but getting to it is another. Teams don't just have to have a winning record. They also must go through other teams to make it to the big game. Players also get bonuses if they make it to the playoffs.

According to CBS 8, Wild Card teams are paid $41,500, and division winners are paid $46,500 for Wild Card games. As for first-round bye teams, they still get paid $41,500 for the Wild Card round despite not actually playing in it.

Those who made it to the divisional round receive an additional $46,500, with those players who make it to the conference championship games getting another $69,000.

As for the Super Bowl halftime show performers like Rihanna, they do not receive any money at all. However, the league does pay for all the production costs used in the performance.

How Much Do Americans Spend During the Super Bowl?

Those watching the Super Bowl tend to host Super Bowl watch parties and invite friends and family to watch the big game or use it as an excuse for a party or a get-together. That means they will be spending some cash to watch the big game.

According to CNBC, Americans are planning to spend an average of $115 on Super Bowl this year. That would be an increase of 31% from 2022′s average of $88. That is based on a recent survey from LendingTree of 2,008 U.S. consumers ages 18 to 77.

The money is usually spent on watch parties, particularly for food and drinks, as well as clothing, decorations, and streaming subscriptions. Meanwhile, there is also the gambling aspect, as sports betting is legal in many states. While there are big-money bettors, only 37% plan to bet $100 or more for the Super Bowl.
