In public, Tucker Carlson praised Donald Trump and his policies. However, in private, the conservative host had contempt for the former president, as shown by a new filing from Dominion in their lawsuit against Fox News.

Dominion Voting Systems had been releasing their filings of evidence against the Rupert Murdoch-owned conservative outlet, and one of their most recent ones has shown how much Carlson may have hated Trump, as the Fox News host had been seething at the former president in private.

The New York Times has reviewed some of the text messages in Dominion's filings, and it showed Carlson messaging a Fox News staffer just two days before January 6. Carlson told the staffer he was looking forward to ignoring Trump, texting, "We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can't wait."

He then admitted just how much he hated Trump, saying, "I hate him passionately" to the staffer.

Carlson has been under fire for private text messages sent to other Fox News hosts, producers, and executives, which have proven he did not believe what he has been saying on air, ridiculing Trump lawyers Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani in private and even calling out their lies.

Tucker Carlson Doubles Down on January 6 Claims Despite Blow to Credibility

Despite all the Dominion filings that showed his private contempt for Trump, Fox News host Tucker Carlson is not stopping in his assertions that the January 6 Riot was "mostly peaceful."

Carlson was handed over 41,000 hours of video of the events that took place on January 6 from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of California. However, the host featured cherry-picked never-before-seen footage that showed protesters being "peaceful," and not showing the Pro-Trump mob attacking police officers while breaking windows and vandalizing Capitol grounds.

According to the Guardian, the family of hero police officer Brian Sicknick, who died a day after the Capitol Insurrection after suffering two strokes, blasted Carlson, saying, "the ongoing attack on our family by the unscrupulous and outright sleazy so-called news network."

Senate Republicans and Democrats, as well as the Capitol Police, came together and also decried Carlson's untruthful and cherry-picked depiction of the events.

White House Says Tucker Carlson is Not Credible

Following his airing of the cherry-picked footage, the White House also chimed in. The BBC pointed out that the Biden administration rarely criticizes journalists, as opposed to Donald Trump, but in a rare case, they did for the Fox News host.

Biden Spokesperson Andrew Bates stated that the White House agreed with Carlson's critics, including the "chief of the Capitol Police and the wide range of bipartisan lawmakers" that "condemned this false depiction of the unprecedented, violent attack".

"We also agree with what Fox News's own attorneys and executives have now repeatedly stressed in multiple courts of law: that Tucker Carlson is not credible," he added. So far, Fox News has not responded to the criticism as the network has refused to address anything relating to the Dominion lawsuit, as well as Tucker Carlson, on air.
