Memphis Grizzlies' guard Ja Morant is in trouble again after another gun video of the two-time NBA All-Star has surfaced. On Sunday, the team suspended him again over this.

The official NBA website announced that the Grizzlies had suspended their star player from all activities. However, it was still unclear what punishment Morant would face now, as the Grizzlies had already been eliminated.

That would be the second time in three months that a video of Morant has surfaced on Instagram, showing the NBA star holding a gun. It was the latest in the disturbing behavior being demonstrated by Morant.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass released a statement on behalf of the league and said: "We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information."

What the New Ja Morant Gun Video Showed

According to Associated Press, the video was posted by Ja Morant's associate Davonte Pack on his Instagram account. It showed that the Memphis Grizzly star guard was sitting on a vehicle's passenger seat and then briefly appearing to display a handgun.

Pack's live brief stream had already around 111 viewers when Morant appeared for almost a second holding what seemed to be a gun. This is the latest suspension that Morant has faced.

He was also suspended over a similar incident earlier this year. It got him suspended for eight games and cost him around $669,000 in his salary.

During the NBA star's previous suspension, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement that "Ja's conduct was irresponsible, reckless and potentially very dangerous," adding that "it also has serious consequences" given his enormous following and influence, particularly among young fans who look up to him.

Silver further noted that the NBA star "learned" from his previous mistake and that "he understands his obligations and responsibility to the Memphis Grizzlies and the broader NBA community extend well beyond his play on the court."

For his part, Ja Morant said in a previous interview about the first gun video that he did not condone any violence and took responsibility for what he did, adding that he's "going to show everybody who Ja really is, what I'm about, and change this narrative."

Netizens React to Latest Ja Morant Suspension

After Ja Morant's latest suspension, several sportscasters and personalities reacted to the Memphis Grizzlies star's latest debacle.

Ja Morant and Davonte Pack have already been involved in a civil lawsuit brought after an incident at the NBA star's home last summer, when then-17-year-old alleged that they assaulted him.

Last April 12, Morant filed a countersuit, accusing the teen of assault, battery, and slander.
