Argentina soccer legend Lionel Messi is leaving Paris Saint-Germaine to play for Inter Miami. Now, Messi has revealed he had some trouble adjusting to his move to France from Spain after leaving FC Barcelona.

While Messi had been successful in PSG, winning two Ligue-1 titles in his two years there, he failed to win the UEFA Champions League with the club. There was also some off-field drama that happened between him and the club's management when it became clear he was not re-signing with the Qatar-owned team. During his final game at PSG, Messi was even booed as the club lost at home.

During a recent interview, Messi admitted he had difficulty adjusting to life in Paris, saying, "The truth is, it was a very difficult adaptation, much more than I expected.

"The Argentina legend then added, "Despite having people I knew in the locker room and having a relationship with them, it was difficult to adapt to the new change, arriving late and not having a pre-season."

"Well, adapting to the new club, to a new way of playing, to my new teammates, to the city at first was very difficult for me and my whole family," the World Cup winner also said in the interview.

According to CNN, Messi also talked about how people received him in Paris. He admitted that at first, it was "very nice" until the people in Paris started treating him differently, saying, "I think the vast majority continue to see me and treat me as at the beginning but there was a disconnect with a large part of the Paris fans, which obviously was not my intention, far from it."

He went back home to Rosario, Argentina last weekend before spending some time in Buenos Aires. In Argentina, he participated in testimonial games for ex-teammates Maxi Rodriguez and Riquelme.

Inter Miami Teases Lionel Messi's Jersey Number

Inter Miami recently greeted its newest star, Lionel Messi, with a very happy birthday. The post was shared on social media, but the post also teased what jersey number the Argentinian will be wearing once he arrives.

The birthday message read, "Feliz Cumple," which means Happy Birthday. However, the "I" in Cumpie looked like the number 1, and the "e" was made to look like a zero. The "ie" in Cumpie was also painted differently, which meant that the club was teasing that Messi would be wearing the #10.

Messi wore the #10 jersey during his time in Barcelona where he was at his very best.
