January 6 rioter and conspiracy theorist Taylor Taranto livestreamed himself going near Barack Obama's home, where he was arrested last week.

He reportedly went there after Donald Trump posted what he claimed to be his predecessor's Washington, DC address.

A memo from prosecutors obtained by CNN stated that "former President Donald Trump posted what he claimed was the address of Former President Barack Obama on the social media platform Truth Social."

Taranto re-posted the address on his own Truth Social account before posting on Telegram, "We got these losers surrounded! See you in hell, Podesta's and Obama's."

Secret Service agents also spotted him just a few blocks away from the former president's home before he was arrested.

How January 6 Rioter Tyler Taranto Was Arrested

Taranto reportedly left his van and began walking around DC's Kalorama neighborhood, where the Obama family lived. A court filing stated that after he was spotted, "United States Secret Service uniformed officers began monitoring Taranto almost immediately as soon as he began walking around and filming."

The January 6 rioter was seen observing security service personnel before going to a nearby wooded area. Secret Service agents then approached him, but he tried to escape. He was soon arrested.

The Trump supporter and conspiracy theorist stated in his live-stream that he believes he is safe from any "trespassing" violations because of the First Amendment. Legal experts say otherwise.

When he was finally arrested, police found weapons and items to make explosives inside the van that he was living in. As it turns out, prosecutors are saying that aside from going to the Obama home in DC, he was also planning to blow up a government facility.

Politico noted that Taranto had made a week-long series of threats that had the FBI interested in him. It culminated in his coming to Barack Obama's neighborhood, leading to his arrest.

With his threats to Barack Obama, prosecutors have stated that they might bring additional charges against Taranto. They also asked Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui to keep him behind bars pending trial because he actually made several other threats before his arrest, including his threat to blow up a government facility.

The facility in question is the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland. During a livestream on his YouTube channel, Taranto stated that he was heading to the government facility with a detonator and was planning to blow up his van filled with bombs inside.

"He made several statements indicating that he intended to blow up his vehicle at NIST, including a statement that he had a detonator, that he was on a 'one-way mission,' and that the vehicle was self-driving so he would not have to be anywhere near it when it 'went off,'" according to the court filing. According to CBS News, prosecutors also noted that there is a nuclear reactor on the agency's 579-acre campus.
