Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross is currently facing charges of domestic battery and criminal property damage, both classified as misdemeanors, according to NBC Sports.

During his arraignment hearing on Tuesday, Ross entered a plea of not guilty to both of these charges.

He was subsequently released on a $2,500 bond, subject to conditions that include avoiding contact with the accuser and any potential witnesses.

Ross is scheduled to return to court on December 4, where further proceedings will take place.

The initial arrest of Justyn Ross took place in Shawnee, Kansas, where he was initially booked on a felony charge of criminal damage exceeding $25,000.

However, this charge has since been amended to a misdemeanor.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Justyn Ross' Charges

The domestic battery charge Ross faces is defined as intentionally making physical contact with a person with whom the offender is involved in a dating relationship, a family or household member, and when such contact is done in a rude, insulting, or angry manner.

The items listed in the property damage charge, as per the Shawnee police, include a laptop, a computer monitor, an iPhone, a gold bracelet, and a car key.

Initially, this charge was a felony with damage exceeding $1,000, but it was subsequently amended to a misdemeanor with a value of less than $1,000, per ESPN.

The Kansas City Chiefs have acknowledged Justyn Ross's arrest but have refrained from making any official comments on the matter.

Justyn Ross and the Kansas City Chiefs

Justyn Ross, a former standout at Central High School in Phenix City, is in his second season with the Kansas City Chiefs, though he missed his debut season due to an injury issue, AL noted.

In the current season, Ross has participated in all seven games, accounting for 81 offensive snaps and 63 special-teams plays. He has accumulated three receptions for 34 yards.

Ross initially joined the Chiefs as an undrafted rookie last year, but due to foot surgery, he spent the entire 2022 campaign on injured reserve.

His foot surgery was a follow-up to an operation in November 2021, as he had missed Clemson's final three games of the 2021 season due to a foot injury.

Before joining the NFL, Justyn Ross was a prominent name in high school and college football.

He earned first-team All-State recognition in 2016 and 2017 after being a second-team pick in 2015 while at Central-Phenix City.

During his senior year, he made 37 receptions for 730 yards and 13 touchdowns while also returning punts with an impressive average of 27.4 yards, including two touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Justyn Ross began his college career at Clemson in 2018, where he recorded 46 receptions for 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns.

He concluded that season with an outstanding performance in Clemson's CFP national championship game victory over Alabama.

Unfortunately, health issues, including a spinal condition called Klippel-Feil syndrome, led to missed seasons and surgeries, impacting his college career.

However, he did make a return to the field in 2021, catching 46 passes for 514 yards and three touchdowns during his final season at Clemson.
