Friends star Matthew Perry has now died in an apparent drowning incident. However, before his apparent drowning death, he shared an ominous Instagram post from a hot tub. The "17 Again" actor was found dead after drowning in a hot tub.

In one of his final Instagram posts before his tragic death, the 54-year-old "Friends" star was seen relaxing in a hot tub while sporting large headphones. "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good," he wrote in the caption. "I'm Mattman."

According to E! News, LAPD reports have found that Perry passed away from an "apparent drowning in a hot tub" inside his home in Los Angeles. An LAPD spokesperson noted that officers responded to a "death investigation for a male in his fifties."

Police found no evidence of foul play at the sitcom actor's death at the scene, and authorities are treating it as a "water rescue." Investigations into how he died are still ongoing, so no official word on his cause of death has been found yet.

Matthew Perry's Family Heartbroken While 'Friends' Creators Release Tribute

Meanwhile, Matthew Perry's family members were reportedly "heartbroken" with his death.

"Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend." The statement added that his fans "meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love," the family's statement read.

The creators of "Friends," Marta Kauffman and David Crane, described the man who played Chandler Bing in their show as a "brilliant talent," according to the BBC.

Meanwhile, "Friends" executive producer Kevin Bright released a statement that said, "It's a cliche to say that an actor makes a role their own, but in Matthew's case, there are no truer words. From the day we first heard him embody the role of Chandler Bing, there was no one else for us."

Hollywood Mourns Over Matthew Perry's Death

Other Hollywood personalities reacted to the "Friends" star's passing, including friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, who shared her favorite memory from 1993 at the Williamstown Theater Festival where they performed together in summer plays.

"We drove out to swim in creeks, had beers in the local college bar, kissed in a field of long grass," she recalled.

"It was a magical summer. He had shot the pilot of Friends but it had not aired yet. He was nervous, hoping his big break was just around the corner. It was. We stayed friends for a while until we drifted apart, but I was always happy to see him when I did."

Meanwhile, longtime friend Hank Azaria released a video tribute saying that Perry was the first friend he made in Los Angeles. He described him as the " funniest man ever."

"Matthew and I became really good friends and we were really more like brothers for a long time. We drank a lot together, we laughed a lot together, we were there for each other in the early days of our career," Azaria said.
