In a recent Chiefs vs. Patriots game, Taylor Swift, who was cheering on her boyfriend Travis Kelce, faced a chorus of boos from New England fans at Gillette Stadium.

The Jumbotron displayed a message quoting Swift, describing the stadium as the "most joyful place on Earth," triggering the audience's disapproval, according to PEOPLE.

Swift, 34, handled the situation gracefully, responding to the boos with a smile, wave, and a blown kiss, as captured in a video shared on X.

This incident occurred amidst Swift's increased presence at Chiefs games, supporting her boyfriend Kelce, also 34.

In a recent interview as part of her recognition as Time's 2023 Person of the Year, Swift discussed the newfound attention she's received while cheering on Travis Kelce.

She expressed her lack of awareness regarding the frequency of her appearance on broadcasts and joked about potentially annoying some spectators.

"Football is awesome, it turns out. I've been missing out my whole life," Taylor Swift said, showing her growing appreciation for football.

Swift's Emotions Surface During the Game

Taylor Swift, known for her enthusiastic support of the Kansas City Chiefs, displayed a range of emotions during their recent game against the Patriots, TODAY noted.

In one instance, she was captured jumping out of her seat and possibly expressing some less-than-family-friendly words when Chiefs' player Kelce was pushed to the ground in the end zone.

Swift also showed visible displeasure with a referee's call during the match.

During the third quarter, Kelce missed a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, leading to frustration.

Kelce, gesturing to the referees, appeared upset about the absence of a pass interference call on Patriots cornerback Myles Bryant, a sentiment echoed by Swift.

Despite Taylor Swift's presence, Travis Kelce had a relatively average game by his standards, making five catches for 28 yards.

He has not scored a touchdown in the last four games and hasn't surpassed 100 receiving yards since facing the Philadelphia Eagles on November 20.

Coach Reid's Response to Swift's Presence

Following the Kansas City Chiefs' victory against the New England Patriots on Sunday, December 17, head coach Andy Reid had a message for Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, Parade reports.

When asked about the romance and Swift's presence at the games, Reid said that Swift has a great guy she is dating right now, and he is happy for both of them.

Regarding Swift's consistent attendance at Chiefs' games, Reid expressed his enthusiasm, saying, He also said that he is a big fan, and he is glad the singer was there, hoping she enjoys the game.

Swift has been present at the last three Chiefs' games, and after her first appearance in October, the team continued to win with Kelce breaking records.

"Kelce is getting better with time. Taylor can stay around all she wants," Coach Reid said, showing his support for the singer and the star tight end.

Reid even humorously suggested that he might have played a role in setting up the couple, citing a past connection to Swift.

During an appearance on the podcast The Five Spot with Donovan McNabb, he mentioned meeting Swift when she was younger because of her dad Scott Swift's love for football.

The team's next game is on Christmas Day, hosting the Las Vegas Raiders.
