Despite losing a lawsuit that left him $148 million in debt, former Donald Trump lawyer and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani repeated his election lies during a recent TV appearance. Of course, Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, who won their lawsuit against Giuliani, sued him for defamation again after he repeated those claims against them.

Giuliani appeared on the rightwing news network Newsmax and spoke to host Rob Schmitt regarding his claims. Schmitt asked the former New York City mayor, "Your initial allegations - do you still believe them to be true?"

"Yeah. Well, of course they'll sue me again for it when I say that, but yeah, I do," the disgraced former New York prosecutor answered. "But they want me to lie. They basically, they are suing me in order to lie to them."

"If I showed you the evidence right now, and I think you've played it on your air, people would see that what I said was absolutely true," Giuliani added. However, all the evidence he presented in court was rejected as they were deemed insufficient, with much of his evidence being either debunked or were simply just hearsay.

Yahoo! News reported that the former mayor also called the trial that deemed him liable for defamation unfair and corrupt. He also claimed that it was a part of "a fascist system, run by the Biden regime" without presenting any actual evidence.

He reacted to the second lawsuit filed by Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman, the two former Georgia election workers he falsely claimed were responsible for stuffing ballot boxes, as "Un-American." His claims led to the two women being harassed and suffering through racial attacks that led to some jury members crying while hearing their emotional testimony.

Rudy Giuliani Complained About Receiving a Default Judgement, Finding Him Liable Before the Trial

During that same Newsmax interview, Giuliani complained that the "judge decided I was guilty, not based on any evidence, but based on the fact that I didn't turn over some financial documents."

Despite this, District Judge Beryl Howell reviewed the evidence presented before the trial when she issued her default judgment, noting that previous rulings had deemed Giuliani's claims to already be false, and, therefore, he defamed the two women. She also found that the former mayor repeatedly failed to comply with orders to produce evidence sought by Freeman and Moss.

According to Politico, because of her default judgment that already found Giuliani liable for defamation, the jury was only there to decide how much the damages would be.

What Are Former Georgia Election Workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss Seeking in New Lawsuit?

The new filing cited former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani's interviews in the days after damages were awarded as the reason for the new lawsuit.

"Defendant Giuliani's statements, coupled with his refusal to agree to refrain from continuing to make such statements, make clear that he intends to persist in his campaign of targeted defamation and harassment. It must stop," it read.

According to Axios, this means that not only must Giuliani stop making his false claims against the two women, but they are also seeking the costs of their attorney and court fees, as well as "other and further relief this Court deems just and proper."
