Details have emerged about the arrest affidavits for Jayson Boebert, Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert's ex-husband, shedding light on two distinct incidents with law enforcement just days apart, per CBS News.

The initial occurrence transpired around 8 PM on January 6 at a restaurant in Silt, Colorado, involving Lauren Boebert, while the second incident unfolded around 1 AM on January 9 at a residence outside Silt and involved the couple's 18-year-old son.

The arrest affidavit stemming from the January 6 restaurant incident lists charges such as disorderly conduct, third-degree trespass, and obstruction of a peace officer.

The document reveals that a call was made to dispatch about "domestic violence abuse," with Lauren Boebert being one of the callers.

The responding officer heard a conversation in which the female stated, "I just touched your nose," and the male responded with, "She punched me in the face."

Lauren Boebert explained that the argument arose during a discussion about their new partners, and she touched her ex-husband's nose to "end the conversation."

Jayson Boebert Faces Charges and Recants Domestic Violence Claim

Jayson Boebert, aged 43, now faces charges of obstructing a peace officer, third-degree criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct, according to Silt Police Chief Mike Kite, according to CNN.

He initially claimed that the congresswoman punched him during the restaurant argument but has since recanted this assertion.

The Silt Police Department, after finding no evidence supporting the domestic violence allegations, declared the accusations against Rep. Lauren Boebert "unfounded," closing the investigation.

Lauren Boebert's ex-husband, released on bail after processing at Garfield County jail, has refused to comment on the charges.

Before the charges were filed, he told the Denver Post that he did not want to press charges against his ex-wife, emphasizing they were working through a "difficult convelrsation."

Police observed no signs of injury to Jayson Boebert's face, and he was physically removed from the restaurant when he refused to leave.

Aside from the restaurant incident, Jayson Boebert faces misdemeanor charges, including assault, harassment, and prohibited use of weapons, stemming from a separate domestic incident on Tuesday, unrelated to Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.

The Ninth Judicial District Attorney's Office has refrained from commenting on both cases.

Rep. Lauren Boebert Responds to Investigation and Previous Incidents

Reacting to the ongoing investigation, Rep. Lauren Boebert stated earlier this week, "I didn't punch Jayson in the face, and no one was arrested."

She mentioned consulting a lawyer about false claims against her, BBC noted.

In September, the congresswoman was escorted out of a Denver theatre for disruptive behavior during a performance of Beetlejuice.

She attributed her actions to a "difficult divorce" when apologizing for the incident.

As the Republican representative for Colorado's 3rd Congressional District, Lauren Boebert recently announced plans to run in a different Colorado district in 2024, citing the alleged restaurant incident as "another reason" for the move.

The controversies surrounding Lauren Boebert's family continue to unfold, with legal proceedings and public scrutiny impacting the political landscape.
