Esperanza Gomez may have started off in telenovelas, but she knew she was intrigued by porn ever since she was a child.

When she was 13, she found a pornographic magazine and knew that's what she wanted to do. She said that thinking of herself as a pornstar made her feel wanted and beautiful, according to Metro.

The actress also opened up about other parts of the industry. For example, when asked who her biggest competition was, she said no one.

"No one is because I don't look at other stars as competition," she said. "We each have our own style. Some are more brusque; others yell more or say more obscene words. Among the actors there is a kind of fraternity."

Gomez said she has worked with everyone she has wanted to work with except for Manuel Ferrara.

Despite loving her job, she doesn't think everyone should just jump in. She said that it's something young women should really think about before pursuing.

"You have to be clear on what you want to focus on and how long you will do this," she said. "If you want to become a mother at an early age, really think about it because then you might not know what to tell your children."

She also advised young women to do their research and find out if companies are legitimate so they don't end up being taken advantage of.

When she first started off, her family disapproved.

"And my response was that I wasn't asking them for permission. Instead, I was letting them know," she said. "With time, they accepted it and now they are proud of the prestige I have gained."

Gomez made her first movie at 28, and she was very wrong about how much work it would be, she said. She said that a 45-minute video will really take about three hours of shooting.

And she said that everyone has a pornstar in them.

"But many people are scared to explore it," she said. "The majority of people have taken intimate pictures alone or with their significant other. We've all had the need to see sexuality from another point of view."
