Sabrina, Timbiriche, and RBD hop on the same van: Max's reality show "Destino Soñado" unites three pop icons from the 90s and 2000s.
Paulina Rubio, Alfonso Herrera, Melissa Joan Hart, Tony Dalton and Karla Souza are in Mexico

Who would have imagined that a teenage witch, a rebel without a cause, and a golden girl would share the screen? Melissa Joan Hart, Poncho Herrera, and Paulina Rubio are teaming up in a new reality TV show filmed in Mexico.
In 'Destino Soñado: Un viaje sorpresa,' the new reality series from Max and Discovery premiering May 13, that's exactly what happens. More than an adventure format, the show becomes a fascinating intersection of eras, idols, and nostalgia that shaped generations.
Hosted by Alfonso "Poncho" Herrera, who rose to worldwide fame as part of RBD, the show invites celebrities on a journey without knowing their destination. But the truly intriguing aspect isn't where they're going, but who they're going to: Paulina Rubio, Mexican pop icon and former Timbiriche member; Melissa Joan Hart, eternally remembered as 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch'; Karla Souza, star of 'How to Get Away with Murder'; and Tony Dalton, the unforgettable Lalo Salamanca from 'Better Call Saul'.
Pop culture icons
Each one carries a cultural universe. Poncho, who went from RBD's massive concerts to dramatic roles in films and TV series, now guides other artists on a journey that seems a metaphor for his own transition: from the stage to introspection. Paulina, meanwhile, returns to the television format as a woman who witnessed the birth of the pop era from her adolescence in Timbiriche, where she shared the stage with Thalía and Benny Ibarra. Today, with more than 30 years of career, she explores a lesser-seen side of the genre: that of risk and unscripted coexistence.
And in the middle of this cocktail, Melissa Joan Hart. For millions of millennials, she was the girl with powers who dealt with school exams and accidental spells. But in Destino Soñado, she appears as a mother, businesswoman, and woman seeking to reconnect with her essence. What does she have in common with Paulina Rubio? Both embodied powerful female figures who shaped 90s entertainment, with completely different styles, but one commonality: having been role models for girls searching for identity.
This journey, which promises spontaneous and emotional moments, is also a cultural clash between Latin and Anglo-Saxon cultures, between the manufactured pop of the 1990s and the arthouse entertainment that dominates today. It's an opportunity to see how these icons, who once taught us to sing, dance, and believe in magic, now confront themselves.
'Destino Soñado' seems to be more than a reality show; it's a mirror of who we were as an audience and what these artists were to us. Nostalgia isn't the point of arrival, but the point of departure.
