Despite a nagging back injury, Tiger Woods still managed to finish in second place at the Barclays this past weekend.

Woods started off with a decent performance on the front nine, but back spasms kicked in later and ultimately affected his performance in the end; he even dropped to his knees after teeing off from Hole 13. The star had an impressive outing considering the circumstances, tying for second.

The back injury seemed to be the deciding factor as Woods was within reach of a win until the very end. He needed a birdie on the 18th hole to make the playoff round, but it was too little, too late. He missed it by one stroke as he tapped the ball in for par.

Woods finished in a four-way tie for second with Graham DeLaet, Justin Rose, and Gary Woodland.

"I had a chance," Woods said to ESPN. "I hit a good putt. It was a little double breaker and I thought I poured it."

Woods, who said earlier in the week that he was dealing with some back issues, said that he started to feel pain on the 12th hole. It all came crashing down on the next hole.

The second place finish at the Barclays was a nice turnaround for Woods after a disappointing performance at the U.S. Championship. On top of his back injury, the star has also had to deal with maintaining his massive Florida home as it reportedly has started to sink into the soft Florida soil.

Woods said he is unsure about whether he will play in the Deutsche Bank Championship next week.
