Despite her husband's 8-year prison sentencing for bank fraud and identity theft last week, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks is "doing great" according to her friend and fellow "RHOA" cast member, Kandi Burress.

Burress revealed to HollywoodLife.com that the now single mother is putting her focus on promoting her book, "Secrets of the Southern Belle," instead of on the drama and legal issues currently surrounding her husband, Apollo Nida.

"Phaedra's doing great. She's basically working. That's how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work," Burress told HL. "I know that she's promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she's not really trying to focus as much on what's happening."

Although she may not be focusing on Nida's prison sentencing, Parks still plans to stay by her husband's side while he is in jail.

A HollywoodLife source explained that Parks is taking her marriage vows "very seriously" and plans to stay committed to her husband for the sake of their children.

"Right now, she's with him and that's where things stand. That's her husband and the father of her children and took her vows very seriously," said the source.

Nida and Parks have two children together, Ayden, 3, and Dylan, 1. In an effort for her young boys to remember their father while he is away, Parks has hired a photographer to take photos of Nida and his sons to have over the course of his 8-year sentence, reports HollywoodLife.

"She wants to capture that father-son dynamic so that her children will know that they have a father and that he's very much a part of their lives," the HL source added.
