Yesterday, CBS announced the cast for the 23rd season of "The Amazing Race." Eleven new teams will race across four continents and nine countries all in search of the finish line, where a $1 million prize awaits.

This season, Tim Wiyininger and Danny Merkey will compete. The two are best friends.

They will have to outsmart and outrace childhood friends Brandon Squyres and Adam Switzer. Squyres and Switzer star in A&E's "Duck Dynasty," a show about "the family that funs the duck call fabrication business," as A&E describes it.

Is blood, however, thicker than water? Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran think so. The two cousins will give it their all in the $1 million dollar challenge.

But is the father-daughter bond even more powerful than the bond which cousins share? Naina Venkatesh and Hoskote Venkatesh will figure out the answer to this question as they join the show's cast.

Nicole and Travis Jasper will also give "The Amazing Race" a shot. The married couple are both ER doctors, and are, therefore, used to hard work and gore.

Fans will have to watch and see if their love can overpower that of dating couple Amy Diaz and Justin Case.

Although Marie "Reebs" Mazzocchi" and Timothy Sweeney are each other's exes, they still think they have what it takes to claim victory over these other couples.

Of course, no reality show is complete without a little sex appeal. Ally Mello and Ashley Covert, who are both NHL ice dancers will appear in this season's "The Amazing Race." The women are members of the LA Kings.

The dancers will be joined by another pair familiar with sports, Nicky Getz and Kim DeJesus, who are both married to baseball players. Nicky is married to Chris Getz, who plays for the Kansas City Royals, while Kim is married to David DeJesus of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Chester Pits II and Ephraim Salaam may have something to say about Nicky's and Kim's husbands, as the team members are both sports analysts, as well as former NFL players.

Finally, for an added splash of variety, the "Queens of Bingo" will test their luck in the race. They are best known as Shane Partlow and Rowan Joseph.

The 23rd season of "The Amazing Race" premieres Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
