Despite a little rain to start this year's Lollapalooza, the spirits of thousands of attendees were not dampened even just a little, as Chicago's Grant Park was jam-packed on the first day of the music festival.

Lollapalooza, now in its 10th year in Chicago, treated fans with big names of different genres to get things started. Popular hits by Iggy Azalea and Eminem provided for the hip-hop taste on the stage, while The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys delivered the brilliance of Britpop, Billboard reports.

Cash Cash and Zedd brought in their beats with heavy bass and Lykke Li and Lorde performed some alternative pop. With so much music blaring from the eight stages of Lollapalooza, attendees really had to choose which ones they would like to listen to.

First day performers include: Eminem, Lorde, Arctic Monkeys, Zedd, Broken Bells, Above & Beyond, Interpol, Lykee Li, Chvrches, Phantogram, The Glitch Mob, Iggy Azalea, AFI, Portugal. The Man, J.
