Ariana Grande's new song "Break Your Heart Right Back" is inspired by her life.

The song samples "I'm Coming Out," and the singer explained what it was all about, notes Attitude.

"It's about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy," she said. "That's a very fun concept. Well, originally it was going to be about a boy who cheats with a girl, but then I was like, 'No, I want it to be about a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy.'"

Grande described the song as one of her favorites off her new album, which will be released on Aug. 25.

"And it's really funny because I believe it has happened to me. I'm not 100 percent positive, but I'm 99.9 percent positive," she said.

And Grande would not be upset if this happens to her.

"I would rather he cheats on me with a guy than with a girl any day! If I found out my boyfriend was gay, I would be like 'OK!' I'd be so relieved," she said.

The singer has an older brother who is gay, and she recently stood up for him on social media.

A commenter used a slur to talk about her brother, Frankie Grande, who the singer defended.

"That 'homo' is the fiercest, most incredible, funniest, most intelligent, kind hearted and most LOVED person on the face of the planet!" she said. She concluded, "he is incredible and I am SO proud!!!! oh and also 'that homo' gets more a** than you'll ever get in your life. k miss thing?"

Grande also spoke about being proud of her brother, who is a contestant on "Big Brother," and how he has been honest throughout his run.

Grande released the video to her song "Break Free" on Aug. 12.
