It's been roughly three years since Eminem came out with his last studio album, 2012's "Recovery," but now the "I'm Back" rapper is, well, back. His newest effort, the Marshal Mathers LP 2, is set to release Nov. 5, and the rap world patiently awaiting its arrival.

The title of the new album alone makes one wonder if Eminem will go back to the type of aggressive, angry lyrics that catapulted him into stardom with the release of the Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LPs. So far, the Detroit-born rapper has been keeping quiet over just what to expect this time around.

"I'm not really allowed to talk about it. Em's whole thing is the element of surprise. That's how it's always been with him," observes Shady Records signee and Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5'9".

Though we don't know exactly what to expect from the always controversial rapper, he has been kind enough to give the public a little sneak peak. So far two songs on the album have already gone viral, though it's uncertain if Eminem will release any more before MMLP2 drops.

One of those songs, "Survival," will be featured on the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts video game. It has been met with mixed reviews, with many critics seeming to view it as a lukewarm effort. His second single, "Berzerk," has fared much better, and is reminiscent of the zany voices he channeled throughout much of 2009's "Relapse."

Sales for "Berzerk" have skyrocketed since Aug. 29, approaching 400,000 in the first week.

That song was produced by hip hop legend Rick Rubin, who will serve as the other producer on the album next to Dr. Dre. So far Dr. Dre has produced every album Eminem has put out since the Slim Shady LP, and the duo has continually garnered critical and commercial praise.
