Tiger Woods recently parted ways with swing coach Sean Foley, creating speculations that the former world No. 1 is looking to reunite with his former mentor, Butch Harmon.

However, Harmon played down speculation about a possible reunion with Woods, saying that he is not expecting a call from golf superstar anytime soon.

Harmon, who coached Woods from 1993 to 2002, reiterated that he is also not interested in a reunion, pointing out that the 38-year-old doesn't even need to hire a coach anymore because of his vast experience.

"No I would not and he's not going to call and ask," Harmon said on Tuesday via Golf.com. "I don't think he needs a swing coach. If I were advising Tiger I'd tell him, 'You're the greatest player that ever lived, just go to the range and hit shots.'"

Foley tried to simplify Woods' swing when they started working together in 2010, but their partnership did not turn out well as the Cypress, California native failed to win an elusive 18th major title.

Hank Haney, who also coached from 2004 to 2010, is still convinced that Woods can win his 18th major title, but he pointed out that Tiger needs to focus on staying healthy instead of relying too much on a swing coach.

Woods, who has not won a major since winning the 2008 U.S. Open, was sidelined by a knee injury in 2009 and personal issues in 2010. He also missed four months in 2011 after sustaining knee and Achilles injury, and was also slowed down by back issues this year.

"In the last six years, he's only played golf three years," Haney said via ESPN. "Who else could take three years off and do any good? Really, you're going to take three years off? I know he's great, but that's a lot to ask. And even this year, how much did he practice? He's gone this whole year with next to no practice time."

Woods recently announced that he will take a break for one to two months to rest his ailing back before making his return at the World Challenge in December.
