Jerry Jones hosted a variety of celebrities in his owner's box during last night's primetime, season-opening game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.

From LeBron James and Hulk Hogan to Chris Christie and Chris Paul, it looked like Dallas was trying to set the record for the most celebrities in an NFL box at once. Some of America's biggest icons were all packed together in the stadium unoffically known as Jerry World.

It was almost exactly as we could imagine it -- the rich owner of "America's team" mingling with the most famous people in America at the stadium, and for some people, it could easily bring back memories of the recent fiction novel "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk."

The book by Ben Fountain, which is a finalist for the National Book award, is based on a Thanksgiving Day halftime show in Dallas. The book is a fiction novel about the connection between wealthy America's influential stances on war and the realities of the lives of soldiers in the Iraq war. The book revolves around a fictitious "Victory Tour" at Texas Stadium and highlights the American traditions surrounding the themes of war, sport, entertainment, and more.

The soldiers in the book were treated to a day in the owner's box with the Cowboys owner, who goes under a different name for the book but is clearly intended to be Jerry Jones.

Jones has owned the Cowboys since he bought the team in 1989. He serves as the team's owner, president, and general manager.
