Disney is feeding the fan frenzy over "Frozen" by coming out with a short sequel in 2015, they announced Tuesday.

Walt Disney Animation Studios made the announcement during the ABC special Tuesday night "The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic" which went behind the scenes of the blockbuster hit.

The short sequel, "Frozen Fever," will debut in Spring 2015, Disney said.

The plot surrounds Anna's birthday, and Elsa and Kristoff are planning to give her the best celebration ever.

"Frozen Fever" will include the reunion of Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf, Disney said. The short is directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, produced by Peter Del Vecho, and includes a new song.

The new original song is created by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, who are responsible for the hit song "Let it Go."

But "Frozen" fans don't have to wait until Spring to get a new nibble on their favorite film.

ABC's "Once Upon a Time" show, which brings fairy tale drama to life, will feature Anna and Elsa, in an upcoming episode.

Aside from the "Frozen" fever currently gripping the world -- as seen in the ABC special with a clip showing the recording of "Let it Go" in Japanese -- Disney has spent some time promoting their upcoming animated feature release.

"Big Hero 6" was also discussed, along with interviews with the directors -- Don Hall and Chris Williams.

The upcoming film was described by Disney as an "action-packed comedy-adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius-thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred."

While "Frozen" has been touted as Disney's highest grossing movie to-date, it has also made headlines for being the fifth highest ever grossing movie, according to The Independent.
