While the world deals with the harsh reality of NFL Ray Rice's own elevator brutality against his now wife Janay Rice, Mrs. Rice is defending her husband.

She took to her Instagram page to finally break her silence but what she wrote has been quite shocking to everyone who watched the elevator surveillance tape.

Janay Palmer ended up on the floor of the elevator at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on Feb. 15. Her fiancé NFL player Ray Rice was given a two-game suspension after the team caught wind of Rice dragging an unconscious woman out of an elevator. But today the entire elevator tape has been released by TMZ, which shows the brutal punch that knocked Janay Palmer out cold. Now the NFL is being blamed for turning their cheek and not giving Rice a more serious punishment.

But Janay Rice has chosen to stand by her husband and is blaming the media for her family's dismay. "I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself," Janay wrote Tuesday morning.

"No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his a** of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific [sic]," she continued.

Rice ended the post by writing, "THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"

What do you think about Janay's reaction to the release of the elevator surveillance?
