CBS "Talk" show co-host Sara Gilbert announced Tuesday she is pregnant, for the third time, but this will be her first child with rock songwriter-producer wife Linda Perry.

During the show's segment of "Facing your fears" Gilbert, 39, had to refuse a dare -- lying on a bed of nails and having a cinder block broken over her stomach.

"Before we go, I just want to say, I'm not going to do the dare and I'm going to tell you guys why. We found out about the dares this week, they announced our dares, and I was scared to do it. And I really do believe in facing your fears and doing things that make you uncomfortable, but ... I actually can't do the dare because I'm pregnant," Gilbert said, according to the Los Angeles Times.

She has two children from a previous relationship.

The former child star came out in 2010, and has a son, Levi, 9, and daughter, Sawyer, 7, with ex-partner Alison Adler, Today reported.

Perry, 49, is the former lead singer for 4 Non Blondes and a successful music producer, CBS reported. Gilbert is a former actress, known best for her role in the TV show Roseanne.

The couple has been together since 2011 but got engaged in April 2013 and were married in March this year.

Gilbert tweeted yesterday from her Twitter handle, @THEsaragilbert, "Thank you all. Your warmth and enthusiasm is truly moving."

Perry also tweeted, from @RealLindaPerry, "Thank you everyone for your awesome messages of support. @THEsaragilbert and I are beyond happy. :) "

The audience at the show clapped and chanted "Sara! Sara! Sara! Sara!" after the announcement.

"We're having a baby at 'The Talk,'" co-host Julie Chen said, LA Times reported.

"I feel like all five of us are giving birth to this baby."

The happy couple did not announce an expected delivery date.
