Teyana Taylor recently addressed speculations that she is the one responsible for Ray Rice knocking wife Janay Palmer unconscious and dragging her out of an Atlantic City casino elevator.

Baller Alert first alleged that Palmer confronted the former Baltimore Ravens running back after seeing text messages from a "mystery socialite trying to persuade Rice to leave his family to be with her."

"In college, Rice reportedly dated the socialite's best friend and mother of her God child, but that didn't stop her from pursuing him," the website's source added.

Also, Joe Budden added the G.O.O.D. Music artist's name on the drama via Twitter. "It may be hearsay, but if the beef between Ray Rice & his wife was over the woman that some are saying?!?! Then sh*t. smh," he wrote. "If y'all know who I'm referring to, then that sh*t is crazy to me.. Smmfh."

However, during her interview with Philadelphia radio station Power 99 FM to promote her upcoming album "7" on Wednesday, the Harlem-native dismissed the cheating rumors. "The reason why they were fighting was because they were fighting, they both was deada** wrong, not because anybody received no texts from me, 'cause I ain't got nothing to do with that," she said. "This is a big matter. ESPN hasn't said my name, no sports blogs have said my name."

The "Google Me" singer then said that she and Rice are just childhood friends and emphasized that she had no part in his domestic dispute with Palmer. "What I'm not gonna downplay is the fact that me and Ray, we used to live in the same building. Like we all grew up together. He used to date my best friend. I was just on the phone with her and she was laughing, like, 'Teyana, don't even feed into that,'" she said.

"I don't have nothing to do with that. I ain't never touched that man, and I ain't got no reason to lie. But which I'm not gonna say is that I was the reason why that happened in that elevator, cause I don't have anything to do with that," she added.

The Baltimore Ravens announced on Monday that they had terminated the remaining three years on Ray Rice's contract after the surveillance footage of his violence was made public. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also said he would be indefinitely suspended from the league.
