In the previous episodes of "La Malquerida," Esteban realizes that Acacia may be getting married to another some day, which is an unsettling thought for him. (Catch up on episodes 16-20 here.)

Here's what episodes 21-25 will bring.

Episode 21: Esteban tells Acacia that he's going to make sure she's all right in life. When she asks how, he says he's going to teach her what life is really like. Luisa asks Rosa if there's something wrong with Manuel. Instead of answering her, Rosa slaps Luisa. Cristina tells Esteban that she's the one that will be responsible for Acacia, so she is taking her away.

Episode 22: Esteban tells Cristina that though Acacia is not related to him, he really does care for her. Norberto is asked by German to give up painting, and if he doesn't, then he'll have to leave his home. Acacia continues to be upset with Ulises. She tells him to leave because he doesn't have a place in her life.

Episode 23: Ulises tells Acacia that he loves her, and he hopes that one day the two will be able to actually talk. But she is upset and doesn't want to talk to him. She also says that what he wants will never happen. Esteban is finding it hard to live without Acacia. He feels restless, and when he tells El Rubio, Juan Carlos overhears Esteban's true feelings for Acacia.

Episode 24: Cristina and Acacia are in the middle of a conversation when her old friend Hector Robledo arrives. Cristina is excited to see him. Alejandra decides to take a chance on love with German. Acacia calls Esteban on the phone, and she asks him to come see her. Esteban becomes very happy.

Episode 25: Ulises also goes to look for Acacia, which surprises her. She had already asked him to never talk to her again. Cristina is also surprised to see Esteban. When she asks why he is there, he responds by saying that Acacia asked him to come.
