After Kris and Bruce Jenner officially filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, their teenage daughters Kendall and Kylie immediately reacted on social media.

The youngest child of the couple was seemingly depressed about her parents ending their marriage of 22 years, as she took to her Instagram account to share a confusing, cryptic message the same day.

"I discover that our disconnect was never because of the insecurities we felt, but rather the emptiness we created when we failed to make sense of ourselves," the 17-year-old reality star posted a quote from Miami-native writer R.M. Drake. "Emptiness we created," she emphasized with a caption.

Following her sister's post, the 18-year-old model responded by Instagramming a throwback photo of the 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon winner and the mom-manager from the '90s. She captioned the image with a simple red heart emoticon.

Hearing the news of her parents' initial separation, Kendall Jenner got quite emotional in the season 9 premiere of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" back in January. "Then why are you still married? Get a divorce!" she said. "Why are you scared of getting a divorce? If you want to be friends, get a divorce."

The "KUWTK" star then clearly expressed that she did not want her mother and father to divorce. "Are we divorced parents' kids now? I don't want to live like I have divorced parents," she sobbed.

She also cried to her half-sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian: "Then we won't be siblings anymore... for someone to say we're not going to be sisters anymore, that really really affects me."

In addition, Kris previously insisted that she plans to maintain a good friendship with Bruce Jenner. "We will always have much love and respect for each other," she told E! Online. "Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."
