Ariana Grande and Big Sean have been teasing the public with their relationship, which is still not official, but both admitted something pretty solid in the last week.

Big Sean, 26, tweeted on Sept. 30 that he had a new chick in his life.

An exclusive interview with HollywoodLife.com from a source close to Grande revealed that Sean is ready to go public with the relationship but Grande, 21, is being held back from doing so.

"They think she's better off keeping the mystery. They would actually prefer her to be single but she's way too into Sean to break up with him for the sake of her career," the anonymous source told HollywoodLife.com.

It is unclear who the "they" includes, but the source identified them as "Ariana's team."

Sean is agreeing to the rules, since neither wants to break up.

"He's cool right now keeping it private but in some ways he does resent it, so that's something that's stressful for them right now. They're trying not to let it affect them but eventually he's going to make her make a choice. He's not going to keep this secret forever," the source said.

The two have been seen holding hands, exchanging kisses and taking selfies -- sort of.

Grande shared a picture of two shadows on Instagram, which looked like her and Sean together.

Both have expressed admiration for the other, and Sean told Ryan Seacrest in a recent interview that Grande is very special to him.

At Grande's "Saturday Night Live" debut in New York City last weekend, Sean was seen at her side most of the night, include at an afterparty.

They have been caught on camera backstage at a few events either holding hands or kissing, and sources claiming to be close to the two have seemingly confirmed the relationship, but neither party involved in the relationship has done the same.

They have been criticized for being in too serious of a relationship so soon, and so soon after their own breakups with their exes.
